Taylor Takes GNAC Women's Basketball Player of Week for Second Time

SEATTLE (Jan. 3) ­ Amy Taylor of Seattle Pacific University was named women's basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the second time in three weeks following a pair of home wins during the holidays.

Taylor (Sr., 5-8, Sr., Shoreline, Wa.,/Shorewood) earned MVP at the GNAC/CCAA Challenge after leading the No. 4-ranked Falcons to wins over Cal State L.A. and Cal Poly Pomona. She scored a total of 36 points and added 15 assists plus six steals, including 19 points, nine assists and three steals in a 90-65 win over 12th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona.

A winner of eight games in a row, SPU (10-1) resumes GNAC play Thursday at Humboldt State.
