Falcons' Taylor Takes GNAC Women's Basketball Weekly Prize

SEATTLE (Dec. 20) ­ After sparking No. 4-ranked Seattle Pacific University to a important road victory, Amy Taylor was selected as the women's basketball co-player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Taylor (Sr., 5-8, Shoreline, Wa./Shorewood) scored 11 of her 18 points in the second half as the Falcons (8-1) rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to defeat previously unbeaten Chico State. Taylor, who also had four assists and two steals, hit a key three-pointer for an 86-80 cushion with 81 seconds remaining.

SPU returns to action Dec. 29-30 when it hosts the GNAC/CCAA Challenge.
