Smith (Spokane, Wa./Valley Christian), a junior forward, recorded her second double-double of the season, both coming in the past three games. The Great Northwest Athletic Conference’s leading shooter, she was 5-for-7 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

The Falcons, who never trailed in the game, opened with a 15-5 run and jumped out to a 19-point lead, 28-9, just 12 minutes into the game. The Gators never got closer than 13 the rest of the way as Seattle Pacific carried a 21-point lead into the half.

Michelle Beaumont (Sr., Bellingham, Wa./Sehome) and team leading scorer Mandy Wood (Jr., Port Angeles, Wa.) tied for a game-high 16 points each. Beaumont also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists. Brittney Kroon (Jr., Wasilla, Ak.) scored eight points and blocked five shots.

SPU did not allow a single San Francisco player to score in double figures. Bianca Rayford led the Gators with nine points on 3-of-13 shooting. LuLue Burton added eight points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the loss.

Seattle Pacific shot 41 percent from the field and 43 percent from three-point range, while holding San Francisco to just 29 percent from the field overall. The Falcons also forced 20 turnovers and converted those into 28 points.

The Falcons head back to northern California to take on Chico State next Saturday night (Dec. 18) at 7.
