Ralph, Von Moos Earn GNAC All-Conference Honors in Volleyball
November 15, 2004

SEATTLE (Nov. 15) Seattle Pacific University's Katie Ralph made the first team and Jenna Von Moos made the all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference second team for volleyball.

Katie Ralph

Katie Ralph has been named to the GNAC Volleyball All-Conference First Team.

Ralph (Jr., Port Orchard, Wa./South Kitsap), a middle hitter who led the GNAC in blocking at 1.15 per game, becomes the Falcons' first first-team selection by the coaches since 2001. She also led the team in kills and was ninth in conference hitting percentage (.258). Ralph was named to the academic all-conference team last week.

Von Moos (So., Stanwood, Wa.), who finished fourth among GNAC leaders in both assists (10.78) and attack percentage (.299), is the first SPU setter to be chosen all-conference in the last five seasons.

Seattle Pacific finished with a record of 15-11 and fourth in the GNAC, it's best placement in three years.

Central Washington's Kate Reome was voted player of the year and the Wildcats' Mario Andaya was coach of the year. Central, which has gone 26-0 to date, plays Hawaii Pacific in the NCAA Pacific Regional, beginning Thursday in La Jolla, Ca.
