SPU Women's Basketball Signs Meadowdale Guard Fenimore
November 10, 2004

SEATTLE (Nov. 10) ­ Ashley Fenimore of Lynnwood's Meadowdale High School has signed a national letter of intent to play women's basketball for Seattle Pacific University.

Fenimore, a 5-foot-7 senior guard, will be reunited with prep teammate Quinn Brewe. Together, they led Meadowdale to a 26-1 record and the state 3A tournament championship last season. Brewe, the Mavericks' top scorer, makes her collegiate debut when SPU begins play Nov. 19. As a junior, Fenimore averaged 7.9 points and 6.8 assists, setting a school records for a single game, season and career assists. She was first team all-area and all-state, and was first team all-Wesco as a junior and sophomore.

Under coach Gordy Presnell, Seattle Pacific is seeking its third straight Great Northwest Athletic Conference title this season. It has qualified for the NCAA Division II tournament each of the last eight years, advancing to the Elite Eight with a 30-1 record in 2004.
