SEATTLE (Nov. 5) Jessica Henson,
Jennifer Hull and Michelle Sanders of Seattle Pacific University
women's soccer team have been voted to the CoSIDA College Division
Academic All-District 8 first team.
Hull (Sr., Eugene, Or./Sheldon) and Sanders
(Sr., Centralia, Wa.) each made the first team for the second year
in a row and, along with Henson (Sr., Spokane, Wa./University),
advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Hull is No. 2 among all NCAA Division II
goalkeepers with a goals-against average of 0.22, and she has 10
shutouts. She is a Latin America studies and political science
double major with a 3.58 grade point average.
Sanders, a forward, ranks leads the top-ranked
Falcons in goals (10). She is an English major with a 3.76 GPA.
Henson, a midfielder, is a biology major with a
3.69 GPA. She is third on the team with five assists.
Making the second team for the second year in a
row was midfielder Sarah Melby (Sr., Mukilteo, Wa./Kamiak). All
four players had made the academic all-Great Northwest Athletic
Conference team earlier this week.
Seattle Pacific (18-0-1) completes the regular
season Saturday when it hosts Seattle University at 7 p.m.
