Falcon Women No. 1 Nationally for Fifth Week in Row

SEATTLE (Nov. 2) ­With a conference championship within reach and postseason invitations pending, Seattle Pacific University is the No. 1-ranked women's soccer team in NCAA Division II for the fifth week in a row.

The Falcons (17-0-1), who have won 11 in a row, 10 by shutout, can clinch their third consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference title Wednesday with a home win over Central Washington. SPU hosts No. 14 Seattle University Saturday night in the final regular season game.

Colorado's Metro State remains No. 2 and one of two other remaining unbeaten teams.
