SEATTLE (Oct. 27) Four-time recipient
Paul Mach was among eight Seattle Pacific University cross country
runners named to the 2004 Academic All-Great Northwest Athletic
Conference teams.

four-time All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection. |
The Falcons placed five men and three women on
the teams. Mach, a computer science major with a 3.72 grade point
average, was the only four-time selection in the conference. Tim
LeCount, who won last week's GNAC individual championship, was a
repeat selection as was Becky Knox.
Seattle Pacific's five first-time award winners
were Michael Gavareski, James Rosser, Eddie Strickler, Karen
Dickson (the GNAC women's title winner), and Brandi McCoy.
Northwest Nazarene placed the most athletes on
the academic team, earning 10 spots, including four men and six
women..
To be eligible for the academic team,
student-athletes must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20
and be in at least their second year of competition at their
university.
