Goals Helps Get Sanders GNAC Women's Soccer Player of Week Award

SEATTLE (Oct. 18) ­ Michelle Sanders of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the women's soccer player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after her offensive outburst helped the Falcons extend their winning streak to eight.

Sanders ( Sr., Centralia, WA) scored four goals as SPU won three road games, including a pair of conference contests. Sanders, who has nine goals on the season, had the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win at Cal State Monterey Bay. She then scored twice in an 8-1 romp over Northwest Nazarene and got another goal in a 2-0 shutout of Western Washington.

Seattle Pacific resumes play Thursday at Humboldt State.
