SEATTLE (Oct. 5) - After an inexplicable drop
in the rankings despite a couple more wins, Seattle Pacific
University will take a No. 11 men's soccer national ranking into
Friday night's encounter with No. 2 Seattle University.
The Falcons (9-1-1), unbeaten in their last 10
games and winners of seven in a row, fell one spot in the NCAA
Division II poll conducted by the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA).
SPU is off to its best start in 19 years,
despite playing seven of the first 11 games on the road. It
started the season unranked.
Carson-Newman of Tennessee is the new No. 1
this week. Seattle University moved up two spots from No. 4.
