SEATTLE (Sept. 28) Seattle Pacific
University continued its rapid ascent in the men's soccer national
rankings, jumping another eight spots to No. 10. The Falcons
(7-1-1), unbeaten in their last eight games, have moved up 14
places over two weeks in the poll conducted by the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
SPU is off to its best start in 11 years,
despite playing the last seven games on the road. They started the
season unranked.
Incarnate Word of Texas is No. 1 again this
week. Seattle University, which visits Oct. 8, is No. 4. Barry
(Fl.), which lost at home to SPU a week ago, still managed to move
up to a tie for No. 8 this week.
