SEATTLE (Sept. 27) ­ Seattle Pacific University freshman forward Sarah Martinez earned a share of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer player of the week in her first two games as a regular starter.

Martinez (Fr., Bothell, Wa./Cedar Park Christian) scored the first goal and contributed an assist in a 3-0 home win over Montana State Billings. She also got the game-winner in a 3-0 defeat of Western Oregon.

The Falcons (8-0-1) visit Central Washington in a GNAC game Wednesday afternoon.
