SEATTLE (Sept. 14) Seattle Pacific
University continued its climb up the national rankings in women's
soccer, rising to No. 4 in this week's NCAA Division II poll
conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America
(NSCAA).
The undefeated Falcons (5-0-0), who host
Western Washington in their Great Northwest Athletic Conference
opener Wednesday night, had been ranked No. 5 last week. Seattle
Pacific is off to the best start in the program's four-year
existence.
SPU will meet No. 11 Seattle University at
Championship field Saturday. The Redhawks slipped one spot from
No. 10.
Franklin Piece remains at No. 1, followed by
West Texas A&M and Tusculum (Tn.).
