James Ward made a crucial saves with 8 minutes to go, lifting
Seattle Pacific University to a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer
victory over Cal Poly Pomona at Interbay Stadium Monday afternoon.
The goal by Morris (So., Bothell, Wa./Blanchet)

around the wall and inside the near post at 69:33.

Earlier in the second half, Cal Poly missed a
chance to score first when Robert Cardenas missed wide right from
15 yards on a breakaway. Seattle Pacific's Jeff Hallenbeck (Fr.,
Redmond, Wa./Inglemoor) was denied by CPP keeper Tim Sisk at the
left post in the 48th minute.
A total of 54 fouls were whistled in the game,
and Hazdovac was ejected with 37 seconds remaining for earning his
second yellow card.
