Falcons' Mach Makes Track and Field Academic All-America

Paul Mach has been voted to the Verizon Academic All-America third team.

SEATTLE (June 22) – Paul Mach, a four-time conference champion and two-time NCAA qualifier in track and field at Seattle Pacific University, has been voted to the Verizon Academic All-America third team.

Mach (Sr., Seattle, Wa./King’s), who has one year of eligibility remaining, is a computer science major with a 3.72 grade point average. Earlier he was named to the regional and Great Northwest Athletic Conference academic teams.

This past indoor season, Mach won the GNAC 800-eter run and finished ninth nationally. He is a three-time conference champion in the 400 hurdles and was 16th in the NCAA in 2003.

Mach becomes Seattle Pacific’s fourth track and field Academic All-America and the first since Matt Cooper in 1998.
