SEATTLE (June 10) Paul Brockman, an
all-Wesco guard from Snohomish, will follow his fathers
footsteps and play basketball for Seattle Pacific University next
season.
The 6-foot-5 Brockman, who missed his senior
season due to a knee injury, averaged 18 points and eight rebounds
as a junior for the Panthers, when they won the league and
finished seventh in the state 4A tournament. He made the all-state
tournament team.
Pauls father, Gordy Brockman, was a
center and key player for Seattle Pacific from 1973-76. During
that time he was a teammate of Len Bone, current Snohomish High
School coach and older brother of former SPU head coach Ken Bone.
The Falcons, who have made the NCAA Division II
tournament five of the past seven years, were 14-13 under Jeff
Hironaka this season. Seattle Pacific lost only one senior and
returns all five starters.
