SEATTLE (June 7) Amy Potrawski, a Level
10 gymnast from St. Charles, Ill., has signed a national letter of
intent to compete for Seattle Pacific University next season.
Potrawski joins Ashley Domres from Phoenix and
Maddie Bernhardt of Littleton, Colo., as the first three recruits
signed by Coach Laurel Tindall.
After elevating to Level 10 in January,
Potrawski took fifth on the balance beam at the regional level and
qualified for the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic National
Championships. She competes for Illinois Gymnastics Institute in
Westmont and attends St. Charles East High School.
Seattle Pacific is one of the top small college
programs in the nation with three national championships and 20
top-four national finishes in the last 21 years. The Falcons were
seventh at the 2004 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships. They
lose two seniors.
