Ayers-Stamper, Randolph Get GNAC Weekly Track and Field Awards

SEATTLE (June 1) ­ Seattle Pacific University multi-event track & field athletes Chris Randolph and Danielle Ayers-Stamper were named co-athletes of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Randolph (So., Lone Tree, Co.) set a GNAC record of 7030 points by finishing third in the NCAA Division II decathlon. While matching the highest national finish by an SPU male in 11 years he also set conference decathlon records for the javelin (165-3) and high jump (6-7) in raising his career-best score by 149 points. Randolph shared the award with Western Oregon thrower Isaiah Haines.

Ayers-Stamper, (So., LaCrosse, Wa.) placed fourth in the NCAA heptathlon, establishing a GNAC heptathlon record for the 100 hurdles (14.56) and scoring 4955 points. Also earning a share of the weekly award was Kelly Fullerton, Seattle University steeplechaser.
