May 17, 2004

SEATTLE (May 17) – Robbie Will, a 6-foot-10 center who played for both O’Dea High School and Bellevue Community College, has become the first recruit to sign a national letter of intent for the Seattle Pacific University men’s basketball program.

Will, who will be a sophomore, started at center and averaged 13.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots for Bellevue CC this past season. Earlier, Will starred at Seattle’s O’Dea, where he averaged 15 points, eight rebounds and three blocks as a senior, making second team all-Metro League.

The Falcons, who have made the NCAA Division II tournament five of the past seven years, were 14-13 under Jeff Hironaka this season. Seattle Pacific lost only one senior and returns all five starters.
