SEATTLE (May 7) – Two Level 10 gymnasts, Ashley Domres from Phoenix and Maddie Bernhardt of Littleton, Colo., have signed a national letters of intent to compete for Seattle Pacific University next season. Domres and Bernhardt are the first two recruits signed by Coach Laurel Tindall.

Domres qualified for the Level 10 national meet and helped the Region I team win the title. She had taken third in the state all-around while competing for her club, the Arizona Sunrays. Domres attends Scottsdale (Az.) Christian Academy.

Bernhardt , a member of ChampionGymnastics in Centennial, Colo., won the state vault title and finished second on floor exercise. She is a senior at Highlands Ranch High School.

Seattle Pacific is one of the top small college programs in the nation with three national championships and 20 top-four national finishes in the last 21 years. The Falcons were seventh at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships last month. They lose two seniors.
