SEATTLE (Apr. 19) -- Kenyatta Leonhardt, who
sparked Seattle Pacific Universitys fifth straight scored
meet victory by winning two open events at the Spike Arlt
Invitational in Ellensburg, was selected as the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference female co-athlete of the week in track and
field.
Leonhardt (Fr., Petaluma, Ca./St. Vincent)
clocked an NCAA provisional qualifying time and meet record of
56.22 seconds in the 400-meter dash and also anchored the 400
relay, which ran a season-best time of 48.2, and was on the 1600
relay which was second (3:54.93) to Central Washington. She also
won her first collegiate long jump at 16 feet, 5 inches.
SPU will send 11 athletes, including Leonhardt,
to the Oregon Invitational Saturday in Eugene.
