Mach Takes 9th in 800, Studer 11th in Pole Vault at NCAA Indoor Track and Field Nationals

Day One

BOSTON (Mar .13) – Seattle Pacific University’s Paul Mach and Ally Studer finished in non-scoring places at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Mach (Sr., Seattle, Wa./King’s) lost ground in the final straightaway took ninth place in the final of the men’s 800 meters. Mach’s time was 1 minute, 53.23 seconds–more than one second of his best of the season. Bernard Manirakiza of Abilene Christian won in 1:50.32.

Studer (Sr., Redmond, Wa./Redmond) placed 11th in the women’s pole vault. She cleared her opening height of 11 feet, 3 1/4 inches on the first try but could not clear the bar at 11-6. Amanda Frame of Mankato State (Mn.) won at 13-0 3/4.
