Valerie Gustafson has been named the GNAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.

SEATTLE (Mar. 1) – For the third time this season, Seattle Pacific University forward Valerie Gustafson has been named women’s basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after sparking the Falcons to another pair of wins.

Gustafson (Sr., 6-0, Olympia, Wa./Black Hills) hit 13-20 field goals and scored 33 points in pacing SPU to home victories over Saint Martin’s and Northwest Nazarene. She scored 22 points in the latter game as top-ranked (NCAA Division II) Seattle Pacific improved to 17-0 in the GNAC and 26-0 overall. Gustafson, who shared the weekly award with Leah Welton of Seattle U., had also been honored twice in November.

The Falcons conclude the regular season Saturday at Central Washington.
