SPU Women Crack Top Five, Are Among Four Unbeatens

SEATTLE (Jan. 20) – Seattle Pacific University picked up its initial first-place vote and moved two spots closer to the top of the NCAA Division II women’s basketball rankings, cracking the top five in this week’s USA TODAY/ESPN poll conducted by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

The Falcons (14-0) are one of four remaining undefeated teams. They took advantage of losses by North Florida and South Dakota State to move up from to No. 7 to No. 5.

SPU tries to extend it string of 29 straight Great Northwest Athletic Conference wins Thursday when it hosts Humboldt State at 5:30.
