Falcon Women Climb Another Rung on Hoop Ladder
December 16, 2003

SEATTLE (Dec. 16) – With another couple wins, Seattle Pacific University has moved up another rung on the NCAA Division II women's basketball ladder.

The undefeated Falcons (8-0), whose average winning margin is 27.2 points, are now No. 9 in the USA Today/ESPN poll, conducted by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. They were No. 10 the previous week. SPU faces Cal State L.A. Friday night in Los Angeles.

North Dakota replaced South Dakota State at the top of the rankings. Within the West Region, Cal State Bakersfield fell 10 spots to No. 22. Chico State is No. 21.

The next poll will be released Jan. 6.
