SEATTLE (Dec. 2) Seattle Pacific
University mens soccer coach Cliff McCrath and goalkeeper
James Ward will be among the invited clinicians at the Youth
Education through Sports (YES) clinic during the NCAA Division II
Championships this weekend in Virginia Beach, Va.
McCrath is the Division II career leader with
550 wins while Ward, a junior from Salem, Ore., was a first team
all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference selection after leading
the league in shutouts and goals-against average.
The YES clinic will be Saturday (Dec. 6), prior
to the NCAA championship games for men and women. It begins at
9:30 a.m. at Corporate Landing Middle School.
The clinic allows boys and girls to connect
with other young athletes and receive soccer instruction for Div.
II head coaches and athletes. Session topics include life skills,
instruction, conditioning and play.
In addition to Seattle Pacific, nine other
schools will be represented.
