Gustafson Gets GNAC Hoop Player of the Week

SEATTLE (Nov. 24) – Valerie Gustafson was selected as the women’s basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference following her role in leading Seattle Pacific University to a pair of victories on opening weekend.

Gustafson (Sr., 6-0, Olympia, Wa./Black Hills) totaled 32 points and 15 rebounds as the No. 22-ranked Falcons (2-0) beat both UC San Diego and Montana State Billings. She established a career-high with 24 points and had 10 boards and four steals in the latter contest.

SPU resumes play Friday in Nampa, Id., against Lewis-Clark State.
