Hull, Sanders Among Six SPU Women to Make Academic All-District in Soccer
November 6, 2003

SEATTLE (Nov. 6) – Jennifer Hull and Michelle Sanders were among six Seattle Pacific University women’s soccer players voted to the CoSIDA College Division Academic All-District 8 team. No other team had more than three selections.

Hull (Jr., Eugene, Or./Sheldon) and Sanders (Jr., Centralia, Wa.) each made the first team and advance to the Academic All-America ballot. Hull leads all NCAA Division II goalkeepers with a goals-against average of 0.17, and she has 12 shutouts. She is a Latin America studies major with a 3.50 grade point average.

Sanders, a forward, ranks third in assists (9) in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. An English major, she has a 3.74 GPA.

Making the second team were midfielders Sarah Melby (Jr., Mukilteo, Wa./Kamiak) and Allison Teague (Jr., Redmond, Wa./Bellevue Christian), and defenders Kaite Lim (Jr., Hillsboro, Or.) and Briana Murphy (So., Ferndale, Wa.). All six players had made the academic all-GNAC team earlier this week.

Seattle Pacific, ranked No. 10 in the nation, completes the regular season Saturday when it visits Seattle University.
