Ward Earns Place on Academic All-District Men's Soccer

SEATTLE (Nov. 6) – James Ward of Seattle Pacific University has been voted to the CoSIDA College Division Academic All-District 8 men’s soccer team.

Ward (Jr., Salem, Or./Sprague), the top goalkeeper in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a goals-against average of 1.17 and five shutouts, made the first team. He is now on the ballot for Academic All-America.

He is a business administration major with a 3.35 grade point average. Earlier he was named to the academic all-GNAC team for the second year in a row.

SPU completes its season Friday by hosting UC Davis.
