Seattle Pacific Women Break Into Top 10 of Soccer's National Poll
November 3, 2003

SEATTLE (Nov. 3) – Going into the final week of the regular season, Seattle Pacific University has broken into the top 10 of the NCAA Division II women’s soccer rankings.

The Falcons (16-1-2) moved up two spots and are now 10th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) coaches poll. Metro State (Co.), the nation’s lone remaining unbeaten team, remained No. 1.

Seattle Pacific has won nine straight games and is unbeaten in its last 16 games. It has already clinched at least a tie for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship and can win the crown outright with a tie or win Saturday (Nov. 8) at Seattle University.

NCAA tournament bids will be announced next Monday. The Far West Region will receive four bids. UC San Diego, currently No. 3 in the nation, was the top-rated regional team ahead of SPU last week.
