LACEY, Wash. (Oct. 30) -- Katy Kravitz and
Andra Taylor combined to connect on 14 kills in 28 attempts as
Seattle Pacific University swept Saint Martin's 3-0 in a Great
Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match Thursday night at
Saint Martin's Pavilion.
The Falcons (7-7-, 14-7), who got a match-high
10 kills, 16 digs and four service aces from Chelsey Myers (So.,
Minden, Nv.), picked-up only their second conference road win by
scores of 30-28, 30-22 and 34-32. It was the fourth straight loss
for the Saints, who fell to 1-12 in the GNAC and 6-18 overall.
Kravitz (Sr., Olympia, Wa.), playing near her
hometown, pounded down a season-best nine kills while Taylor (Sr.,
Camas, Wa.) hit five in eight tries. Defensively, libero Tiffany
Butac (Fr., Pearl City, Hi.) had 19 digs and Katie Ralph (So.,
Port Orchard, Wa./S. Kitsap) had four blocks, including one stuff.
SPU plays its final road match Saturday at
Central Washington.
