SEATTLE, Wa. (Oct. 23)—Shannon Lovejoy headed in the game winner in the first half of play to lift the 13th-ranked Seattle Pacific University women’s soccer team over No. 21 Seattle University 1-0, in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Interbay Stadium.

The Falcons (13-1-2/7-0-1) pushed their school record umbeaten streak to 13 games and moved into sole possession of first place in the GNAC with the win while Seattle University dropped to second (13-1-2/6-1-1).

Lovejoy (So., Seattle, Wa./Seattle Prep.) headed a 30-yard cross by Katie Lim (Jr., Hillsboro, Or.) to the left post from six-yards out for the game’s only score at16:26. The sophomore midfielder has scored a goal in each of her last six outings and is tied for the lead in the GNAC scoring race with 11 on the year.

Hull saved three balls en route to her sixth consecutive shut-out. Hull has ten on the season and is ranked No. 1 among NCAA Division II players in goals-against average (.23).
