(Seattle) -- For the second straight night, the
Seattle Pacific University volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 game
deficit, as the Falcons (4-4, 11-4 GNAC) ousted Saint Martin's
College in a GNAC match at Brougham Pavilion.
The Falcons remain undefeated at home this
season in seven matches.
In the decisive fifth game, the Falcons (4-4,
11-4) rattled off five straight points over the Saints (0-7, 5-13)
to break a 10-10 tie and seal the match. Last night, the Falcons
followed a similar pattern of losing games one and three before
winning the final two and the match.
Jessica Bauder (Jr., Richland, Wa./Col. Basin
CC) recorded 15 kills for the Falcons while Katie Ralph (So.,
South Kitsap/E. Tenn St.) also earned double-figures in successful
attacks with 10. Myers led the offense, however, for the second
straight night and did so with an efficient attack of .394
percent.
Defensively, Andrea Pennington (Sr.,
Bellingham, Wa./Whatcom CC) once again led the back row with 24
digs. Ralph, the team's leading blocker, came through again by
stumping the Saints attack with four blocks.
Emily Wofford led the Saints with 17 kills.
The Falcons play at sixth-ranked Western
Washington next Saturday, Oct. 11.
