SEATTLE (Sept. 29) - Matt Laughlin of Seattle Pacific University was named men's soccer co-player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference following a pair of victories.

Laughlin (Sr., Selah, Wa.), a defender, sparked the Falcons to a pair of shutout victories by repeatedly breaking up forays using his speed and anticipation. Seattle Pacific defeated San Francisco State and Sonoma State by identical 1-0 scores. SPU (4-4-1) is unbeaten in five games with four shutouts over that span.

The Falcons next play Oct. 6 at Western Washington.
