SEATTLE (Sept. 19) -- Junior Jessica Bauder
(Richland, Wa./Columbia Basin CC) had a match-high 20 kills as the
Seattle Pacific University volleyball team downed Western Oregon
University 34-32, 27-30, 30-22, 30-20 Friday night at Brougham
Pavilion.
The Falcons (8-2, 1-2) ended a two-match losing
streak while getting their first Great Northwest Athletic
Conference win this season.
Chelsey Myers (So., Minden, Nv./Douglas)
chipped in 18 kills for SPU while leading the team with a .351
attack percentage for the match. The Falcons hit .217 overall as a
team.
Libero Andrea Pennington (Sr., Bellingham,
Wa./Whatcom CC) had 15 digs while teammate Katie Ralph (So., Port
Orchard, Wa./South Kitsap-E. Tenn. St.) had four solo blocks to
lead the Falcons' defense.
The Wolves (6-5, 1-2), who hit just .104 for
the match, were led by Talia Sanderson's 18 kills.
The Falcons host Humboldt State at 7 p.m.
Saturday in Brougham Pavilion.
