SYDNEY, Australia (Sept. 9) - The Seattle Pacific University men's basketball team dropped its opening game of a five-game Australian junket to the Sydney Kings, 119-79, Tuesday afternoon at the Alexandria Basketball Stadium.

Jason Chivers (Jr., 6-8, Palmdale, Ca.) topped the Falcons with 20 points and seven rebounds while redshirt freshman forward Dustin Bremerman (Fr., 6-4, Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower) scored 18. Tony Binetti (So., 6-1, Enumclaw, Wa.) had 14 points and Jordan Lee (Jr., 6-2, University Place, Wa.) 12.

Seattle Pacific struggled against the Kings' pressure defense. Sydney is the defending National Basketball League champion.

SPU next plays the Newcastle Hunters Wednesday night.
