SEATTLE (Sept. 8) - Jennifer Hull (Jr., Eugene,
Or./Sheldon), Seattle Pacific University's goalkeeper, has been
named the women's soccer player of the week in the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference after leading the Falcons (3-1-0) to a win
over Sonoma State their home opener.
In a span of two minutes midway through the
second half Saturday, Hull lunged to turn a free kick around the
left post and then leaped to save an overhead kick which was
headed for the roof to the net. Hull tallied five saves to notch
her third shutout in four games and lower her goals-against
average to 0.50-best in the GNAC.
SPU hosts Western Oregon in the GNAC opener for
both teams thursday night at 7.
