SEATTLE (June 19) - Sarah Kraybill, a standout
runner for Seattle Pacific University, has been selected to the
Verizon Academic All-America team for track & field and cross
country.
Kraybill (Sr., Seattle, Wa./Ballard) was voted
to the third team by a panel of sports information directors. She
recently graduated with a degree in English and a grade point
average of 3.74.
This spring, Kraybill was an All-America both
outdoors and indoors in the 800 meters, finishing third and
fourth, respectively, in the NCAA Division II Championships. She
also won the 800 and 1500 titles in the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference championships and was second in the 400.
Kraybill becomes the SPU track program's first
academic All-America since Karin Grelsson in 1993.
