SEATTLE (May 29) -- Paul Mach, a conference champion hurdler from Seattle Pacific University, has been voted to the Verizon Academic All-District 8 team for cross country/track & field.

Mach (Jr., Seattle, Wa./King's), who won his third consecutive Great Northwest Athletic Conference 400-meter hurdles crown earlier this month, is a computer science major with a 3.74 grade point average. He won four of seven races this season and finished 16th at the NCAA Championships last week.

Mach is now a finalist for the Verizon Academic All-America team, to be announced next month.
