SEATTLE (Apr. 29) -- Danielle Ayers-Stamper of
Seattle Pacific University was selected as the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference female track & field athlete of the week
following her victory and meet-record score in the conference
heptathlon competition.
Ayers-Stamper (Fr., LaCrosse, WA), who has won
the award three times this season, scored 5024 points to earn the
GNAC title and the No. 2 ranking among NCAA Division II
qualifiers. She achieved personal-best marks of 14.69 in the 100
hurdles, a shot put of 39-1 3/4 and a javelin throw of 134-2 which
put her on the provisional qualifying list.
Ayers-Stamper and the rest of the Falcons
resume competition at the GNAC Championships Saturday in
Ellensburg. |
