STANFORD, Calif. (Mar. 28) -- Sarah Kraybill of
Seattle Pacific University won the women's 800-meter run Friday
night at the Stanford Invitational.
Kraybill (Sr., Seattle, Wa./Ballard), already a
provisional qualifier in the 1500, ran a strong final 200 to win
in a time of 2 minutes, 10.91 seconds. Utah's Nellie Hammons was
runner-up in 2:11.98.
Ally Studer (Jr., Redmond, Wa./Redmond) tied
for fifth in the pole vault, earning a provisional qualifying mark
with a final clearance of 11 feet, 6 1/4 inches.
Also at Stanford, Paul Mach (Jr., Seattle,
Wa./King's) ran the 400 hurdles in 53.97, Tim LeCount (So., Battle
Ground, Wa.) posted a season-best 1500 time (3:59.12) and Jamie
Witt (So., Folsom, Ca.) completed her 5000 in 18:36.82.
