BOSTON (Mar. 13) -- Sarah Kraybill of Seattle
Pacific University was voted the West Region Indoor Athlete of the
Year by the U.S. Track & Field Coaches Association.
Kraybill (Sr., Seattle, Wa./Ballard) broke a
school record and had the No. 3 automatically qualifying time
(2:09.81) in the 800 meters for the NCAA Division II Indoor
Championships, which begin Friday in Boston. She is the first SPU
athlete to earn either an indoor or outdoor regional award.
Kraybill runs her prelim of the 800 Friday.
Ally Studer (Jr., Redmond, Wa./Redmond) and Danielle Ayers-Stamper
(Fr., LaCrosse, Wa.) compete in the pole vault and high jump,
respectively, Saturday.
