SEATTLE (Mar. 11) -- Yusef Aziz of Seattle Pacific University was voted to the Daktronics all-West Region second team and the all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference first team for men's basketball.

Aziz (Sr., 6-4, Seattle, Wa./Foster) led the Falcons (16-11) in scoring (17.6) and assists (3.5)-the first player in 16 years to do so. He was second in rebounding (6.2), steals (1.5) and shooting percentage (.500).

Aziz is a repeat selection for both all-region and all-conference.

Guard Maurice Cato (Sr., 6-0, Fairfield, Ca.) and center Jason Chivers (So., 6-8, Palmdale, Ca.) each received honorable mention all-conference.

Fred Hooks of Humboldt State was the GNAC Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Al Sokaitis, who guided Alaska Fairbanks to a share of the GNAC title, was voted coach of the year.
