SEATTLE (Feb. 12) - Postseason hopes for the
Seattle Pacific University men's basketball team got an added
boost Wednesday as the Falcons moved up to fourth in the NCAA
Division II West Regional poll.
It represents the best rating of the season for
the Falcons (12-7), who have won six of their last seven. They go
on the road this week, beginning Thursday night at Alaska
Fairbanks, which is eighth in the region. Last week SPU was No. 5.
The regional ratings determine the eight teams
which will receive NCAA postseason berths next month.
Cal State San Bernardino remains No. 1 in the
West for the second week in a row, ahead of Humboldt State. BYU
Hawaii is No. 3.
