SEATTLE (Jan. 27) -- Seattle Pacific University point guard Kerie Hughes (Sr., 5-6, Mount Vernon, Wa./Mount Vernon) was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference womens' basketball player of the week after sparking the unbeaten Falcons to another pair of wins.

Hughes led 2nd-ranked SPU to a 78-62 road victory over No. 16 Western Washington by scoring 18 points (6-10 FGs, 3 treys) and adding seven assists. She added another 11 points, six assists and six steals later, against Seattle University.

Seattle Pacific (16-0) hosts Alaska Anchorage Thursday night.
