SEATTLE (Jan. 10) -- Former Seattle Pacific
University track & field coach Ken Foreman will be inducted
into the Washington State Track & Field Coaches Hall of Fame
next week in Spokane.
Foreman, who retired in 2000 following 37 years
as the Falcons' head coach and two others as an assistant, is
among three longtime collegiate mentors selected. He will be
joined by Washington's Ken Shannon and Washington State's John
Chaplin. In all, 17 former college and high school coaches will be
honored Jan. 18.
During his tenure, SPU produced 27 women and
men who were collegiate champions, 159 All-America athletes and 15
of his teams finished among the top 10 nationally.
Later this month, on Jan. 31, Foreman will be
amongst the first class of inductees into Seattle Pacific's Falcon
Legends Hall of Fame.
