SEATTLE (Nov. 25) -- Kelley Berglund of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the women's basketball player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after pacing the Falcons to a pair of victories on openeing weekend.

Berglund (6-3, Sr., Port Angeles, WA) earned most valuable player honors as 15th-ranked SPU claimed the Lynda Goodrich Classic title with victories over No. 18 North Dakota State and Colorado Christian. She scored 35 points (15-25 shooting) and had 21 rebounds, seven assists and four steals, including 24 points and 13 boards in the opening night win over the Bison.

Seattle Pacific visits Northwest College Wednesday night and hosts Westmont (Ca.) in the first round of the Falcon Classic Friday at 7 in Brougham Pavilion.
