LAKE STEVENS, Wash. (Nov. 9) -- Both the Seattle Pacific University men's and women's varsity fours won their heats at the James Gardiner Challenge Cup on Lake Stevens held Saturday. It was the second and final race of the fall season.

Spring competition begins Mar. 22 with the Raptor Cup vs. Seattle University.

Men's varsity four: 1-Seattle Pacific 10:45; 2-Portland 11:22; 3-Evergreen 11:54; 4-Portland State 12:11.

Women's varsity four: 1-Seattle Pacific 11:45; 2-Portland 12:14; 3-Seattle University 12:27; 4-Portlabd 'B' 13:08; 5-Portland State 14:00.

Women's novice eight: 1-Evergreen 11:57; 2-Portland 12:20; 3-Seattle Pacific 12:29; 4-Portland 'B' 12:31; 5-Seattle University 13:46.

Men's novice four: 1-Seattle University 11:48; 2-Portland 12:05; 3-Seattle Pacific 12:22; 4-Evergreen 12:44.
