SEATTLE (Nov. 11) -- Freshman midfielder Megan
Lienhard of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the Great
Northwest Athletic Conference women's soccer player of the week
after scoring both goals in the Falcons' title-clinching victory
over Seattle University.
Lienhard (Fr., Everett, Wa./Cascade) delivered
the second-year program the GNAC championship when she scored 12
minutes into overtime vs. the Redhawks.
She had also scored the game's first goal early
in the second half of regulation.
Seattle Pacific won its last nine games and
finished 13-4-2 but did not earn one of three regional postseason
berths in the NCAA Division II tournament when the draw was
announced Sunday. |
