SEATTLE (Nov. 11) -- Seattle Pacific University's Monica Herrera earned co-volleyball player of the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after leading the Falcons to a pair of five-set road victories.

Herrera (Jr., Lima, Peru) totaled 43 kills and 24 digs in come-from-behind wins at Western Oregon and Humboldt State. Her 24 kills agains the Wolves was fifth-best in the GNAC this season. Earlier this season she set the conference ance SPU record of 30 kills.

It was the second time this season that Herrera has been honored. SHe shared the award with Central Washington's Tracey Anderson.

SPU (8-9, 9-15) concludes its season Saturday at Western Washington.
